The Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (HaV) is planning a review of the lobster fishery’s rules that have a 300-year-old background.

New rules for traceability of fishery and aquaculture products in Sweden will come into effect in 2017, at least three months later than planned, as the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (HaV) draft regulation has to first be assessed by the European Commission.

The Swedish risk assessment of American lobster is now approved by the EU, furthering the process that could lead to American lobster being added to the list of invasive species.
