Vladivostok takes top spot

The port of Vladivostok has increased its throughput of seafood products landed by 29% compared to the same period in 2017, taking the position as Russia’s top fish port as 157,700 tonnes of fish have been transshipped across its quays in the first seven months of this year.

Canadian government invests in Newfoundland and Labrador small craft harbours

New market is latest phase in development of Lerwick’s fishing industry hub

Construction work on Lerwick Harbour’s replacement whitefish market is scheduled to begin this month in a project that will more than double capacity for landings at the UK´s second largest fishing port. Following competitive tendering, Tulloch Developments Ltd A532;has been appointed main contractor by Lerwick Port Authority, with completion set for early 2020.

Skagen breaks records

New cold store and processing plant for Makhachkala

The Russian Caspian Sea port of Makhachkala is about to be developed with infrastructure for receiving, processing and storage of not less than 150,000 tonnes of fish annually. The deal has been struck between FGUP Natrbresurs and LLC Construction and assembly department No 12 (Republic of Dagestan), which bid for the lease agreement for the state-owned port.
