Marco is to supply a new PB-64 power block to the Marpesca Group, one of Panama’s fishing largest companies.
This power block, to be installed on board tuna purse seiner Pescatún I, will be completely rubberised and will have a power grip for better net hauling. Its design ensures faster and more direct net hauling, with less wear than with other methods.
The order follows previous Marco deliveries of similar deck equipment in 2014 to Marpesca Group’s Julie L and Tunapesca.
Marco designed this intermediary-sized model of power block particularly to meet the specific needs of the Pacific tuna purse seine fleet.
Marco’s Puretic power block haulers revolutionised purse seine fishing and there are now over 20,000 units in operation on board purse seiners around the world.
