The Australian authorities continue to crack down on Indonesian fishermen seeking to fish in Australian waters.
In just a few days earlier this month Australian Border Force intercepted a series of fishing vessels off Northern Territory, seizing a total of 1465kg of sea cucumber, a small amount of other catches, salt and fishing gear.
All five vessels were incinerated at sea and the crews taken to Darwin to be investigated and charged by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority.
Two vessels were intercepted with catches on board, one off the Wessel Islands and the other off the Cobourg Peninsula.
The other three were identified and boarded before crews had an opportunity to start fishing.
