The Tranquility Fishing Company has taken delivery of a new 27.55 metre by 8 metre beam seine netter built at the Vestværft yard in Denmark. Tranquillity LK-63 is the company’s first newbuilding, and follows the older boat the seven co-owners started out with in 2008, and its 2010 replacement.
Skagen shipyard Karstensens Skibsværft has established its own construction base for producing hulls in Poland, and in addition to setting up its own company, it has acquired production facilities from Vistal Offshore in Gdynia, a modern facility built in 2013.

Swedish pelagic trawler Clipperton was delivered by the Karstensens yard at Skagen in Denmark earlier this month. The new vessel has been built for B-C Pelagic, which brings together two long-established pelagic operators, the Jansson and the Backman/Malmborg families.
