Larsnes Mek Verksted has delivered a second seine netter/purse seiner to Norwegian owners, with the christening ceremony held at the yard in Myre. Gunnar K’s handover was a major celebration for the locality as Liss Knudsen christened the new vessel.

Jemar Norpower has delivered a new 36-foot Malo Sjark to skipper Bjørn-Kåre Kristiansen who fishes from Brønnøysund in the north of Norway. This is the first of three such orders for this year, which marks 50 years from the delivery of the first Malo Sjark.
Summer Rose launch at Whitby
The latest newbuild from Parkol Marine Engineering has sailed from the Whitby yard for Oban in western Scotland, where it will focus on scallping. Summer Rose was christened at the yard with a traditional naming ceremony led by a minister from the Mission to Seafarers.

Skaginn 3X to fit out HB Grandi freezer trawler
Working with sub-suppliers Velfag, Marel and Afak, Skaginn 3X has been chosen by HB Grandi as the main contractor to fit out the factory deck of its new vessel now under construction in Spain. The name of the vessel has not yet been revealed, but according to our sources it is codenamed RE1.
Olympic to pack new trawler with green technology
A new 70 metre trawler has been ordered by Fosnavåg company Olympic Seafood, designed by Rolls-Royce and to be delivered by the Cemre shipyard in Turkey, with an option for a second vessel. The new vessel will have an extensive range of Rolls-Royce equipment on board and will be packed with green technology.
Sealord flagship ready for delivery
New Zealand fishing company Sealord is now ready to take delivery of their new flagship following sea trials carried out at the Simek yard in Flekkefjord.
