Two large tuna purse seiners that fish in Pacific waters have come to the Nodosa yard in Spain for maintenance.
Jane IV from Panama and San Andrés from Ecuador are at the Nodosa shipyard in Marín for extensive programmes of maintenance, modernisation and refurbishment.
The planned refits comprise a range of tasks of varying nature and complexity, tailored to the specific needs of each vessel, with the aim of ensuring their full operational readiness in the shortest possible time. These include scheduled maintenance, system modernisation, technical upgrades and the renewal of certifications.
‘Our ability to meet demanding deadlines and the relationship of trust built up with its clients over the years are factors have made the shipyard a benchmark for companies which, even from fishing grounds on the other side of the Atlantic, choose Nodosa’s facilities,’ a yard representative commented.
