Marine electronics specialist Marport has announced that Marport France SAS (Sales and Service) is moving to new and improved facilities in Lorient, adding technical support to its customers in France, central Europe and Africa.
Marport France Sales and Services shared facilities with the company’s rapidly growing R&D department in nearby Ploemeur, but the needs of the sales and service team had outgrown the available facilities. With over 200 square metres of space, the new facility will house a full R03;inventory of Marport products, ensuring a generous product offering and availability along with convenient, same-day shipping.
The Marport SAS staff will provide comprehensive service and technical support for our customers in the same manner as before.
Loic Ollivier, who been with Marport since 2007, will be the general manager of Marport France SAS. He has more than 25 years of experience in marine electronics and acoustics, and holds a degree in electronic engineering. He has had extensive experience in acoustic R&D prior to joining Marport.
‘The local market has become increasingly important. And with the expansion of the product line, we needed to expand our facilities to better serve our customers,’ Loic Ollivier said.
‘Our new location in Lorient allows us to expand our capabilities and welcome customers for demonstrations and training. Marport France’s SAS new office will support the continuing expansion of the Marport product line.’
