The keel for a new longliner to be built for Norebo subsidiary JSC YaMSy has been laid at the Otradnoye shipyard.
The Project 200101 design is developed by Nautic Rus in collaboration with Norebo’s engineers, and it features the designer’s signature inverted bow arrangement which provides better seakeeping and utilisation of space on board, compared to traditional foreship layouts.
The 63-metre LOA, 14-metre breadth longliner design is to have diesel-electric propulsion with a pair of 1200-1500kW gensets and electric motors powering twin 1000kW steerable propellers.
Intended to operate in the Russian Far East, the longliner is designed to have a freezing capacity of 50 tonnes per 24 hours and a 50 tonne/day capacity processing deck. Accommodation is for a crew of up to 39.
The Otradnoe shipyard was formerly the Pella Shipyard, and is now in Norebo’s ownership.
