The Vyborg Shipyard, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, the largest shipbuilder in Russia, has shifted the latest newbuild from the construction hall to the slipway for the next stage of outfitting.
Leonid Gorbenko is an 80.40 metre LOA, 15.40 metre breadth factory trawler being built for Atlantrybflot, part of the FOR Group.
The keel of the new trawler was laid at the Vyborg shipyard in November 2020.
This Ice Class 3 trawler is designed to have a 4640kW main engine and a deck layout for demersal trawling. Planned refrigerated fishroom capacity is 2375 cubic metres, and Leonid Gorbenko will have a 100-tonne/day freezing throughput for groundfish, plus processing lines for additional products.
