Danish companies are frontrunners in intelligent systems that add value and make fish processing more efficient. At this year’s Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona, 31 companies are presenting their products at the Pavilion of Denmark.

One of these companies is NORD-Machinery, which supplies fish processing machines to a variety of customers, including salmon producers.

‘Our products must add value to the end-product for our customers. Therefore, we focus on automating all processes to refine the quality of the fish or create better work conditions for staff,’ said NORD-Machinery’s business developer Lise-Lotte Firring Jensen.

NORD-Machinery considers the exhibition to be strategically important to meet new partners and customers in both Europe and globally.

Window to Europe

Martin Winkel Lilleøre, Head of Fish Tech at Danish Export Association and organiser of Pavilion of Denmark, believes that Seafood Processing Global’s move to Barcelona will offer new opportunities.
‘With Spain being a major fish and seafood hub in Europe, Seafood Processing Global will be a window for Danish suppliers towards both Europe and globally,’ he said.

‘Furthermore, Spain has the largest fish processing industry in Europe, but to continue to be competitive, they need to optimise and streamline production. This alone offers valuable opportunities for Danish exhibitors at SPG.
The Danish exhibitors deliver systems that maximise value and meet increased demands for automation, sustainability, long-lasting equipment, food safety, innovative packaging, and waste handling.

The Pavilion of Denmark will be situated in Hall 3, at stand numbers 3CC201, 3DD201, 3EE201, 3FF201, 3EE401, 3FF401.
