With all exhibitions stands now sold out, and the largest number of companies exhibiting to date, The Irish Skipper Expo 2025 is shaping up to be the largest ever, with more than 140 companies from 13 countries participating with a broad range of fishing gear, equipment and products from around the world.
‘Following our announcement that we will now host one show each year, we have seen huge interest from industry in being part of the event. We recognise the changing nature of the industry in both Ireland and Scotland and as such, we aim to develop a fantastic exhibition showcasing the very best products and services in the industry,’ said Mara Media’s Commercial Fishing Manager Sharon Boyle.
‘We have an impressive lineup full of fresh new faces as well as old ones. With 40 new companies and over 100 loyal previous exhibitors, there’ll be something for everyone come opening day. We have strong support coming from the British Isles, with an impressive lineup of 33 UK based companies coming to Limerick this year.’
A number of international companies are coming from France, Denmark, Poland and Turkey, while others from further afield – Newfoundland, the US and China. Outside the arena, there will be five boats on display from respected boat builders, including G Smyth Boats, Kenbro Boats, Ryan and Roberts, Audacious Marine Boats & Moulding. Whilst inside the venue, O’Sullivan’s Marine will be displaying a vessel – making a record six vessels on display at this year’s event.
Alongside the exhibition itself, both the IFA Aquaculture conference and the NMCI Seafarers’ Conference 2025 are taking place on Thursday, 20th March – the day before the Expo opens.
The National Inshore Fishermen’s Association (NIFA) is delighted to again showcase some of their key inshore products at the show.
‘What better way to highlight our members’ products? We’ll be offering freshly prepared seafood to give you a taste of what’s to come at this fantastic show. Some of our directors will also be on hand to chat and answer any questions you may have,’ a NIFA representative said.
In addition to the daytime events, The Skipper invites all exhibitors and their guests to the Show Reception at The Terrace in the evening, sponsored by SeaQuest Systems, Mooney Boats, and G Smyth Boats.
‘We are delighted to bring the reception directly to the event grounds for your convenience – exactly what our exhibitors need after a busy day at the show,’ commented Mara Media managing director Hugh Bonner.
