The Ukrainian cabinet of ministers has closed the fishing ports of Kerch and Sevastopol until such a time as the constitutional system of Ukraine is restored.
Interfax Ukraine refers to the closure as being subject to a resolution of the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol city. The cabinet resolution states that under the present circumstances, it is not possible to carry out cargo, transport and shipping works with due regard to navigation safety, requirements of international agreements signed by Ukraine and environment protection.
The State Fishing Industry Agency has been instructed to take measures to inform international organisations on the closure of the temporary closure of the fishing ports of Kerch and Sevastopol.
