There are just seven weeks until the Scottish Skipper Expo opens its doors at the P&J Live in Aberdeen. Already established as one of Europe’s leading commercial fishing industry exhibitions, the Scottish Skipper has something for everyone.
More than 160 companies are confirmed, plus there’ll be the usual line-up of fishing vessels on display inside the hall, and these are always a major draw for visitors to the event.
‘The 2026 event promises a diverse and fully representative showcase of vessels, equipment, services and technology,’ said The Skipper’s commercial fishing manager Sharon Boyle.

‘Scottish Skipper Expo is designed for the entire industry. Whether you operate a small inshore vessel or are involved in large-scale pelagic operations, the Expo provides direct access to trusted suppliers, leading shipyards and the latest innovations.’
This year will have a strong Danish presence, reflecting the close ties between Scotland and Denmark within the pelagic and wider fishing sectors. Confirmed Danish exhibitors include Atlantic Shipping, FF Skagen, Hundested Propeller, Jens Berg Shipping, JMC Limited, Karstensens Shipyard, Nordsøtrawl, Port of Hirtshals, Scandic Pelagic and Thyborøn Doors.
The Expo also reflects the strong and ongoing connections with Irish companies. Confirmed exhibitors include GEHC (Global Empire Hydraulic Connections), International Paints, Jimmy Walsh Propellers, KER Group, KT Nets, MC Models, Murphy Marine Services, Seaquest Systems, Swan Net Gundry, and the show organisers themselves, Mara Media/The Skipper. Their participation reinforces the strong links between Scotland and Ireland in supporting commercial fishing operations of all sizes.
‘We’re setting the stage for the industry to reconnect in Aberdeen, combining tradition, innovation and international collaboration under one roof,’ she said.
‘With more than 160 exhibitors and six vessels on display, 2026 promises to be one of our strongest editions yet. It is a key date in the fishing calendar and simply not one to miss.’
As has become a traditon, the Scottish Skipper Expo culminates in the popular show reception, sponsored by Commercial Oils, Sunderland Marine and Yanmar, with exhibitors and invited guests able gather in a relaxed setting at the Douglas Hotel on the Thursday evening.
