The search for a new CEO for Royal Greenland has been concluded, with the choice going to a cnadidate recruited locally in Greenland.
‘It’s a great honour to be allowed to lead Royal Greenland. The company plays a central role – both in the Greenlandic economy and in the everyday lives of many people. I look forward, together with the company, to strengthening our business internationally and creating value for the benefit of all of Greenland,’ said incoming CEO Toke Binzer, who steps into the new role on 1st December.

Toke Binzer has deep roots in Greenland and grew up in Nuuk. He relocated back to Nuuk in 2022 with his family on his appointment to Tusass, which followed spells at international corporations IBM and TDC.
‘It is with great pleasure that Royal Greenland welcomes Toke Binzer. Toke has proven herself to be a strong and modern leader, and the board looks forward to the opportunities his experience and leadership style will bring. We share the ambitions of strategic focus, execution power and a strong anchoring in Greenland – so I am very much looking forward to the collaboration,’ said chair of the Royal Greenland board Niels Thomsen, commenting that the new CEO has a thorough knowledge of Greenlandic business and society, and this combination of international experience and local insight makes him particularly suitable to lead a company that is both an international market leader and central to Greenland’s society.
