Pivotal Year for Brown Crab

A major report on brown crab management that could influence the future direction of the UK and other member state’s shellfish conservation policy has now been released. The work is a result of a concerted effort between the Federation and other industry organisations. Its aim is to provide an evidence base to inform the range of alternative management measures. Undertaken by Nautilus Consultants, the project held industry meetings across the UK and Republic of Ireland in September to ensure that a wide range of views are taken into account.
