European Fishmeal has held this year’s annual general assembly as an online session, with some familiar faces re-elected to the board and some new ones welcomed.
FF Skagen’s Jóhannes Pálsson was re-elected president and Frank Trearty from the UK division of Pelagia as vice-president.
Toomas Kevvai from Estonian Eesti Kalatootjate Keskühistu and Roberto Casas Abeijón from the Spanish Auxiliar Conservera (AUCOSA) have joined the board as new members of the European Fishmeal and Fish Oil Producers association, while Christian Bisgaard of Biovecal has stepped down.
Board members are now Kyrre Dale from Norway, Frank Trearty from Ireland, Jóhannes Pálsson from Denmark, Jóhann Petur Andersen from Iceland, Odd Eliasson from the Faroe Islands, Toby Parker from the UK, Toomas Kevvai from Estonia and Roberto Casas Abeijón from Spain.
The general assembly welcomed new associated member, 3A Antioxidants.
European Fishmeal’s general assembly was followed by a presentation by DTU Aqua senior researcher Mark Payne PhD on prediction of blue whiting stock development (recruitment).
Next year’s General Assembly will take place 27th of August as part of the biennial members conference in Skagen.
