Brittany seafood wholesaler Océalliance is consolidating its position with the acquisition of companies in the Channel coast region.
Based in the port of Keroman, the Breton group headed by Guénolé Merveilleux is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy with two new acquisitions that were announced during the first quarter of 2026.

This new phase of expansion was launched at the beginning of the year with the acquisition of Quesney Marée, based in Trouville-sur-Mer. Established in 1969 and generating €7 million in revenue, this acquisition enables Océalliance to strengthen its position on the Normandy coast, following the acquisitions of La Marée du Cotentin and Viviers du Cap in 2024, and then Pinteaux-Renet in 2025.
At the end of March, the group finalised the acquisition of Boulogne-sur-Mer company Cofima. Located in the Capécure district of the port, Cofima specialises in hand filleting. It has twenty staff and has a €12 million turnover.
This significant consolidation movement comes at a sensitive time for the fishing industry, with a steady decline in supplies following Brexit, but also other factors such as the Bay of Biscay closures.
Océalliance was formed from the merger of Furic and Mariteam in 2015, before being acquired by the Prosol group (Grand Frais) in 2022.
With its Scottish subsidiary Angelbond, the company has established itself as a major player in the European seafood trade, with a presence at every French fish markets and with 26 separate processing facilities. Océalliance had a staff of approximately 600 in 2025 and an overall turnover of €270 million.
