Larsnes Mek Verksted has delivered a second seine netter/purse seiner to Norwegian owners, with the christening ceremony held at the yard in Myre. Gunnar K’s handover was a major celebration for the locality as Liss Knudsen christened the new vessel.
Jemar Norpower has delivered a new 36-foot Malo Sjark to skipper Bjørn-Kåre Kristiansen who fishes from Brønnøysund in the north of Norway. This is the first of three such orders for this year, which marks 50 years from the delivery of the first Malo Sjark.
A new 70 metre trawler has been ordered by Fosnavåg company Olympic Seafood, designed by Rolls-Royce and to be delivered by the Cemre shipyard in Turkey, with an option for a second vessel. The Vard Aukra shipyard in western Norway has finalised an agreement to build a new fishing vessel for Fosnavåg company Remøybuen, with a delivery date in the second quarter of 2019.
Stadyard at Raudeberg in western Norway has signed a contract with Austevoll fishing company Nye Radek AS for the construction of their new fishing vessel. This is the yard’s newbuild no. 44 and is due for delivery in June 2020.
