Iceland: Value of catch January-November 2009

Total value ISK 106 billion
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to ISK 106 billion in January-November 2009, compared with ISK 91 billion in the first 11 months of 2008. Total value increased therefore by 16.6% between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 75 billion; thereof cod ISK 33 billion, haddock 14 billion, and redfish 9 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 21 billion and flatfish catches for 9 billion.
