Fishing gear supplier Frøystad AS has extended its network along the Norwegian coast with a new department established in Honningsvåg with Vidar Danielsen managing it and handling sales.
‘By setting up in Honningsvåg, and with Vidar, with whom we have collaborated since the 1990s, in the role of department manager/sales manager, we see great potential for growth,’ said Hallgeir Frøystadvåg at Frøystad AS.
The Honningsvåg branch will offer all of Frøystad’s product line for the coastal fishing, aquaculture and other fisheries.
‘We currently have many customers in Finnmark, but we also see benefits for both us and our customers by having a local presence,’ Hallgeir Frøystadvåg said.
‘After 36 years with the same company, I thought that if I change one more time before I retire, then it’s going to have to be Frøystad, as I have worked with them all these years,’ Vidar Danielsen said.
‘I got in touch and they were very positive and energetic. I’m confident that customers will see the benefits and welcome Frøystad, which is known for good quality and service. I am very optimistic about our opportunities, not just in Honningsvåg, but throughout Finnmark.’
The department in Honningsvåg will initially be a sales office, but the goal is to find suitable premises where the company’s products can be kept in stock for short delivery, and to start rigging nets.
