Currently in the process of developing a major infrastructure masterplan, Fraserburgh Harbour is promoting two distinct commercial property opportunities for lease.
The tenancy of an existing 710 square metre industrial facility and a 2863 square metre quayside development space are both based within the busy fishing port which also serves the vessel repair and maintenance and the commercial sectors.
‘Our knowledge and experience within the Harbour, coupled with our local supply chain and 24/7 operations makes us a valuable partner and location for any maritime industry seeking a home on the north-east coast of Aberdeenshire,’ said Harbour Development Manager Pamela Neri, adding that Fraserburgh Harbour provides all essential services, including transport, fuel, sonar, engineering and navigation via an extensive, on-site local supply chain.
‘These are exciting times for Fraserburgh Harbour and the potential that comes with our location is huge, given that we are poised to undertake our most ambitious development project yet. The masterplan project will deliver two new breakwaters, a new -10 metre chart datum deepwater basin, over five hectares of multi-purpose quayside space, and an additional dry dock for vessels up to 100 metres in length, as well as improving access to the existing Balaclava and Faithlie Harbour basins.’
Development opportunities
Located at the Inner Balaclava Quay in Fraserburgh Harbour, this development site is adjacent to Shore Street and accessible via Bath Street.
Extending to 2863 square metres, this offers the opportunity for industrial seafood processing subject to the necessary clearing, development, and consents. Also suitable for development by offshore wind energy operators, this site is close to the Harbour dry dock and benefits from permitted development rights and is available for long term lease only.
As a trust port, Fraserburgh is particularly interested in proposals which can outline the revenue benefits to the Harbour, as well as the long-term economic impact the proposal will deliver for the community and wider local economy.
The 710 square metre industrial building currently available is situated within Harbour grounds nearby its busy ship lift facility, and offers workshop and office close to several processing and engineering companies.
For lease at £30,000 per annum and with immediate access available, the property can also be viewed as a development opportunity.
Details and opportunities to make viewing arrangements are available from Fraserburgh Harbour – and Harbour staff will also be at this year’s Scottish Skipper Expo in Aberdeen to answer questions provide further information.
‘We always look forward to attending the Scottish Skipper Expo,’ Pamela Neri said.
‘This year, would urge any interested parties to visit our stand to discuss these development opportunities and find out more about the positive impact our development masterplan will have for our customers.’
