At a meeting in London on 9th March 2010, the NFFO Shellfish Committee reviewed its policy approach to the issue of limitation on fishing effort in the crab and lobster pot fisheries in the waters around the UK. Following extensive and detailed discussions, the Committee adopted the policy described below.
