Due to return to Galway in May next year, less than 30% of exhibition space remains as the Irish Skipper Expo comes to a new venue with a new layout and Thursday-Friday showdays.
‘We’re bringing Irish Skipper Expo back to Galway, but there is also a real sense of something new about the 2027 show. We have a new venue, a completely new layout and new show days, while still retaining what has always been at the heart of the Expo – bringing the commercial fishing industry together under one roof,’ said The Skipper’s commercial manager Sharon Boyle.
‘The response from exhibitors has been fantastic and we now have less than 30% of the available space remaining inside the hall. For companies that are thinking about joining us in Galway, I would strongly encourage them to get in touch while we still have stand options available.’
A limited number of outdoor display opportunities will also be available at the new venue, providing additional options for companies wishing to showcase larger exhibits, vessels or equipment.
Taking place on 13-14th May 2027 at the High-Performance Centre, Dexcom Stadium, the Expo will bring fishermen, vessel owners, manufacturers, suppliers and industry organisations together in the heart of Galway for two dedicated days of business, networking and catching up face-to-face.
As the only Skipper Expo taking place in 2027, Galway will provide an important opportunity for the industry to come together, with BIM once again supporting Irish Skipper Expo as main sponsor.
The move to the High-Performance Centre at Dexcom Stadium – home of Connacht Rugby – brings Irish Skipper Expo back to the city where it was first established in 2005, but with a completely new setting and layout for 2027. The show will also take place on Thursday and Friday for the first time, creating a fresh format for exhibitors and visitors travelling to Galway.
The growing exhibitor line-up already reflects the international reach of the show, with companies confirmed from Ireland, Sweden, the UK and India among a wide range of participants signed up for Galway 2027.
