The European Fisheries Commissioner Maria Damanaki visits the Faroe Islands on december 11th and 12th
Upon invitation of the Faroese Minister of Fisheries Mr. Jacob Vestergaard, European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ms Maria Damanaki will visit the Faroe Islands on December to discuss issues of mutual interest.
Damanaki was as head of fisheries in Eu, responsible for the implementation of sanctions against the Faroe Islands, due Faroese self raising their quotas for mackerel and herring. Penalties Faroe Islands have chosen to refer to the World Trade Organization WTO.
A topic that is sure to be a lively discussion during Damanaki visits.
