More than a hundred suppliers to the fisheries and maritime sector from the Netherlands and beyond will be gathering in Urk in October for this year’s Holland Fisheries Event, held at at De Koningshof Party & Events in Urk.

HB Grandi’s groundfish production at its Norðurgarður location has gone well throughout the quota year that comes to an end on the last day of August. A staff of around 160 work in production and process 550 to 600 tonnes of saithe, redfish and cod every week.

One of the challenges was to find the right material that was strong but without being too rigid, and now that this is available, Flyers have been in regular use since the beginning of this year.
Electronics manufacturer Simrad offers a wide selection of catch monitoring sensors, with each catch sensor transmitting data from the fishing gear back to the catching vessel’s wheelhouse.
