Following the loss of Eben Haezer GY-57 last year, its owners have taken the decision to stay in fishing, with a switch to the Belgian flag and a flyshooter/trawler acquired from Denmark.
Danish owner John Christensen has agreed to sell his Pia Glanz L-654 shortly before the new vessel replacing it is delivered by Vestværft, and the Belgian licence made available when beam trawler B-518 was sold to owners in Urk made it possible to bring everything together.
The 27.50 metre seine netter/twin-rig trawler Pia Glanz was built in 2011 and acquired by John Christensen in 2014. Its replacement will be delivered by Vestværft in the first half of next year, when the current Pia Glanz becomes Sola Gratia and will go to the Belgian registry as Z-300 after a call at Padmos in Stellendam to be made ready for its new owners’ fishing methods.
