MMC First Process is standardising and unifying its whole product portfolio under a single brand name.
‘Our whole range of seafood handling and processing products is being drawn together under the single brand name AQU Synergy Portfolio,’ said marketing director Per Helge Devold at MMC First Process.
Behind the 40-year success story that is today’s MMC First Process lie generations of creation and innovation by creative people along the coast. Progressive development of equipment and technology has led to world-class final products and impressive financial results.
‘There have been many companies and synergy-seeking combinations of businesses over these 40 years, but each step forward has been the result of the creative drive and enthusiasm of the founders and employees in these firms. The story is about people, and the experts who have striven continually to improve the efficiency and gentle fish-handling qualities of our products,’ said CEO Lars Erling Krogh.
The journey has taken the company from MMC to Odim and Fodema and back to MMC again. Then came Tendos, followed by MMC Fodema and MMC Group, before Vectura, Optimar, First Process, MMC Kulde and MMC Tendos came on the scene. In 2012 it became Havyard MMC until in 2017 MMC and First Process merged, thus creating added synergy and the most comprehensive value chain in the industry. Most of these businesses that were part of our evolution, have developed products with widely varying names and naming strategy.
‘MMC First Process is now continuing its innovative and exciting evolutionary journey by consolidating 40 years of innovation under the name AQU Synergy Portfolio,’ he commented.
