The Nodosa Shipyard has floated off mussel harvester Proinsa Seis, ordered by Promotora Industrial Sadense (Proinsa).
The vessel is now alongside at the shipyard’s facilities, where final assembly, outfitting and preparation of the various systems continues.
The operation enabled the hull – now completed and painted – to be lowered into the water, marking the start of a new phase of the project. With a length of 23.20 metres and a beam of 7.5 metres, the vessel is designed to support Proinsa’s aquaculture operations.
Following the launch, the vessel remains moored at the quay of the Marín shipyard. From this location, the necessary work will be carried out to complete the installation and testing of equipment, as well as the various commissioning tasks that precede the trials and final handover.
For Proinsa, the addition of the new vessel means strengthening the resources dedicated to its operations in the mussel sector.
For Nodosa, this build adds to its portfolio of new shipbuilding projects and its regular business of vessel repair and conversion.
