Vónin has opened an office in Reykjavik Iceland under the brand Vónin Ísland and appointed Björn Johannsson as sales manager of Iceland.
Hjalmar Petersen managing director of the Vónin Group says “we have taken this step to get closer contact with the Icelandic market and to be able to offer this market a better service. We have appointed Björn Johannsson who is a familiar figure in the Icelandic fishing industry and we are very happy and proud to have him on our team.”
The fishing industry is a familiar place for Björn. Already as a kid he got a close insight of the fishing industry, as his faher was the owner of two fishing vessels. Björn has a lot of experience within the fishing industry were he has worked all his life. He has been a fisherman, manager at a cold storage, selling fish and also selling fishing gear.
Vónin is a major and innovative supplier og fishing gear and aquaculture equipment. Vónin operates globally and is located in the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Canada, Denmark, Norway, Russia, Lithuania and now also in Iceland.
