Value of catch January-October 2011

Total value ISK 127.2 billion
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to ISK 127.2 billion in January-October 2011, compared with ISK 114 billion in the first ten months of 2010. Total value increased therefore by 11.6% between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 76.6 billion; thereof cod ISK 36.9 billion, haddock 9.5 billion, and redfish 11.2 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 38.5 billion and flatfish catches for 8.5 billion.
