Value of catch January-February 2010

Total value 20.6 billion ISK
Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 20.6 billion ISK in January to February 2010, compared with 16.1 billion ISK in the first two months of 2009. Total value increased therefore by 28.1% between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 16.3 billion; thereof cod ISK 9.5 billion, haddock 2.6 billion, and redfish 1.8 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 3 billion and flatfish catches for 1.3 billion.
