Close attention was paid to issues relating to fisheries at the recent meeting of the Ukrainian-Norwegian Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economy, chaired by Ukraine’s Minister of Energy Herman Galuschenko and Norway’s Minister of Trade and Industry Cecily Mirset.
Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaly Golovnya expressed his appreciation for Norway’s unwavering solidarity with the Ukrainian people, dedication to sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine – as well as its support in fulfilling its obligations to CCAMLR, in the form of repayment of Ukraine’s debt to the CCAMLR budget for 2022-2024.
‘Our countries have long-established, excellent partnership relationships. Norway has for many years been a reliable partner of Ukraine in supplying the needs of Ukrainian consumers with quality seafood products and takes a leading position among the countries supplying fish products to Ukraine,’ Vitaly Golovnya said, and stressed the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation and ensuring the development of a mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries.
