Norwegian fisherman August Fjeldskår from Båly has gone for the safe option by going to Danish yard Vestværft for his third new vessel.
One of Norway’s top netting skippers, August Fjeldskår has ordered his new 35 metre vessel, making it the fifth in the series since the first boat was delivered by Eidsvik Skipsbyggeri in 1986. The latest newbuilding is intended to provide more speed and greater endurance as he routinely covers 300 nautical miles in a single trip.
The new Nesejenta will have a greater length than its predecessor, but the beam remains the same, as the width of the harbour entrance where they land limits the dimensions of the boat.
Nesejenta is scheduled to be delivered in 2020.
