Thai Union receives sustainability disclosure award

Thai Union Group has been recognised for its sustainability reporting, receiving the Sustainability Disclosure Award from Thaipat Institute and Thailand’s Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) for its sustainability reporting.

Patarachai Sonthikhant, manager responsible for People and Community Development for Sustainability at Thai Union Group, received the Sustainability Disclosure Award from Dr Pipat Yodprudtikan, chairman of the Thaipat Institute.

The Thaipat Institute and SEC introduced their sustainability awards to encourage Thai businesses to disclose data in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which has the most widely adopted global standards for sustainability reporting.

The awards also help promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12.6, which encourages companies to adopt sustainable practices and integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle.

The Sustainability Disclosure Award was determined by the completeness, credibility and communication of the nominees’ sustainability reporting.
