The new Seacon-designed combined netter/longliner has been built at Stadyard in Raudberg for Averøy company Kenfish II, and is an SC21 design from Seacon.

Piriou delivers Southern Ocean longliner to Comata
An ice-class longliner designed for fishing toothfish in the Southern Ocean has been built at Piriou’s Vietnamese shipyard for French fishing company Comata. The new longliner was christened in La Réunion and will start fishing in French Southern and Antartic Territories.

Australian Longline is the first Australian company to join GSSI partnership as a Funding Partner, and the company is a longline operator fishing for Patagonian and Antarctic toothfish within Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fisheries.
Construction begins on Arkhangelsk longliner
The Northern Shipyard (Severnaya Verf) in St Petersburg has begun construction of a new freezer longliner for Akhangelsk company Globus. The new vessel is part of a series of new longliners for Russian owners, designed by Norwegian company Marin Teknikk.
New Cleopatra 46B delivered to Kambur
Fishing company Kambur, based at Hafnarfjörður in Iceland, has taken delivery of a new Cleopatra 46B dedicated longliner from Trefjar. The new fully shelterdecked boat replaces an older vessel of the same name.

For the second time, longline equipment manufacturer Mustad and fishing company Ervik Havfiske are taking the opportunity to sign a major agreement at the Nor-Fishing exhibition.
Longline gear suppliers strengthen co-operation
Fiskevegn and Mustad Autoline, both internationally recognised names in the longline industry, have agreed to strengthen their co-operation. This follows the purchase of Vetrhus Holding AS (now Mustad Sealine AS) earlier this year by Mustad Autoline, through which Mustad Autoline acquired 50% of the shares in Fiskevegn.
