New Seacon design to be built at Stadyard
Stadyard at Måløy I Norway has signed a contract with Kenfish II AS in Averøy for a new combined gillnetter/autoliner. The new vessel is a 20.99m overall, 10m beam Seacon design, the yard’s newbuild no 40, and is due for delivery in June next year.

Code of Conduct aims to prevent gear conflicts
A Code of Conduct signed by the South African Deep-Sea Trawling Industry Association (SADSTIA) and the South African Hake Longline Association (SAHLLA) is expected to dramatically reduce conflicts between trawlers and longline fishing vessels that target hake on the same fishing grounds.
