Swe-Dan Seafood, with reception facilities for pelagic landings and shore-based processing, is now Sweden Pelagic.
Njord reports that the company’s ownership is split between FF Skagen in Denmark and Västkustfisk SVC. The two reception facilities are Sweden Pelagic Västervik AB at Västervik and Sweden Pelagic Gotland AB at Ronehamn. The company’s factory at Ellös on the coast near Gothenburg, formerly Fiskberedning Paul Mattsson AB, has been expanded with capacity increased from 130 tonnes per day to a daily throughput capacity of 480 tonnes. Port facilities at Ellös are also to be improved with the depth at the quay increased to 8 metres to allow larger fishing vessels to unload there.
