The line-up for this year’s Scottish Skipper Expo in Aberdeen continues to build, bringing together both longstanding exhibitors to the event, as well as a number of new names making a first appearance.

‘It’s fantastic to see so much early commitment from exhibitors and suppliers, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to what promises to be an outstanding two-day event for the whole sector,’ said Mara Media’s commercial fishing manager Sharon Boyle, adding that there are just four months to go before the doors open at the P&J Live Exhibition Arena in May.
As in previous years, The Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) is the main sponsor of the Scottish Skipper Expo.
‘We are, as ever, delighted to be the main sponsor at the Scottish Skipper Expo in Aberdeen.
“The industry is in a tough place in 2026 and events such as these are important for galvanising resistance to the onslaughts that the industry faces from all quarters. While this year will undoubtedly be challenging on many fronts, we hope to see a good turnout and optimism for the future,’ said SFF chief executive Elspeth Macdonald.
She commented that despite enormous pressures from greatly reduced fishing opportunities in 2026 for key stocks such as cod and mackerel, the spatial squeeze caused by offshore wind farms and continued misrepresentation by eNGOs, the fishing industry is displaying its customary resilience.

‘Thanks are due to Sharon Boyle and her team at Mara Media for putting on this large event specifically for the industry and we look forward to it being a success despite the challenges we face,’ she said.
‘This early commitment reflects the industry’s confidence in the show and its long-established role as a trusted meeting point for skippers, crews, and suppliers,’ Sharon Boyle said.
‘The latest companies to join the exhibitor line-up include Ness Marine, Garware Technical Fibres, AP Lifting Gear, Boris Nets, Finning, JCF Marine and Caithness Marine, further broadening an already strong showcase of equipment, services, and innovation. Their presence ensures visitors will have access to a comprehensive range of leading suppliers.’
