Fishing gear recycler Plastix has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications for its recycling processes for used fishing nets and ropes from the maritime industry, and other post-used and post-industrial plastic, into raw plastic material by mechanical recycling.

These internationally recognised standards confirm that Plastix meets the needs of its customers and the environment through the development and implementation of an effective quality and environmental management system.

‘We are proud we have achieved the ISO 9001:20015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications which assure our customers and stakeholders that we operate to the highest quality and environmental standard, and confirm our culture for continuous improvement,’ said Plastix CEO Hans Axel Kristensen.

‘This has been a huge task for our management team, which has made an incredible effort, ensured the full implementation within the organisation, and brought this task to completion. We have, and will continue to strive for excellence and sustainability hand-in-hand, in our effort to drive the Circular New Plastics Economy forward.’

He commented that Plastix underwent a company-wide audit by FORCE Certification, which included the development and implementation of quality and environmental management system.

‘We strive for a high level of quality for sustainable and circular green growth in the plastics industry,’ he added, commenting that in pursuing accreditation to the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, Plastix confirms its serious commitment to continually improving products, processes and overall performance for the benefit of our customers and the environment.
