Norwegian pelagic operator Ervik & Sævik has acquired pelagic vessel Inger Hildur.
The 64 metre Inger Hildur was built in 2001 and sold in 2012. It has been bought from the Gjendemsjø family by Ervik and Sævik.
Inger Hildur is expected to be for sale without its quotas, which are to be transferred to Ervik & Sævik’s Christine E and the Directorate of Fisheries is understood to have approved the sale.
The acquisition strengthens the company’s quota position significantly. Christina E is currently preparing for fishing capelin in Icelandic waters before switching to blue whiting, and it now has double its previous quotas to catch.
