The organisers behind the new “Scottish Skipper Expo 2011”, Hugh Bonner and Sharon Boyle of “The Skipper” fishing publication, made the first of many planned trips, starting with the North East of Scotland last week to meet with the local fishing industry on their own doorstep. The trip took in the ports of Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Macduff.
During the visit, Macduff Shipyards and Peter (Patsy) Bruce Ship Painters booked their stands taking the total number of companies confirmed to over sixty five, with another twenty on standby. Sharon Boyle commented that “we are opening another room across from the main exhibition hall to accommodate the standy list and we will do our best to ensure every company gets an opportunity to exhibit”.
Hugh and Sharon would like to thank the fishing community of the North East Scotland for their exceptional hospitality and support during our trip and we are confident that the new show will be a major success.
