Two of Rawanq’s pelagic trawlers, Al Rahma and Al Nasr, have completed their scheduled dry docks and are on their way back to fishing grounds.

Al Rahma went to the Astican shipyard in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for an overhaul, emerging with maintenance and class surveys completed, and in its new blue company livery. The 120-metre Moonsund-class trawler is the first vessel acquired by the company when it started operations in 2021, and has since been joined earlier this year by sister vessels Al Tidra and Al Asifa.
Formerly Ernir, Al Nasr joined Rawanq from Iceland in 2024 and has since operated in Angolan and Omani waters.
This was the first time Rawanq used the dry dock in Duqm. Operated by Asyad Drydock, the yard sits on Oman’s Arabian Sea coast, has two large graving docks and has carried out more than 2200 dockings, making it a valuable option for the company’s fleet close to Omani fishing grounds.
Al Nasr completed its spell in dry dock on 13th October, freshly painted in Rawanq blue, and is now back fishing in Omani waters.
