Green economic growth in a changing climate has priority focus in Nordic cooperation today. The purpose of the Nordic Oceans Conference, Seas the Future, is to bring the fisheries and maritime sectors more clearly into the focus on sustainable growth, with prominent international, government, industry and research representatives from a range of sectors sharing their perspectives on the prospects and challenges for a sustainable future living off the sea across the North Atlantic.
Main Conference proceedings over two days will be divided into broad thematic sessions, concluding with the “World Oceans Day Discussion”.
The Conference is organised and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Faroe Islands, in collaboration with, and with support from, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Atlantic Cooperation (NORA).
Final deadline for registration is 15 May 2011.
It is highly recommended that you register and book as early as possible as flights and accommodation options are filling up quickly.
