After a number of years with Jens Schneider Rasmussen as chairman, the Danish Pelagic PO has a new chairman as Karsten Mølgaard, skipper of Isafold HG333, which he operates with Lise Bjørn Jørgensen, steps into the role.
‘I look forward to working as chairman and to working with both the board and the secretariat in an exciting time for Danish pelagic fisheries. At the same time, I would like to thank Jens for his great effort and dedication – he has done an impressive job for the organisation and for the entire sector,’ Karsten Mølgaard said.
Karsten has been elected chairman until the summer of 2026.
‘We are very pleased to have such an experienced and strong person as Karsten at the helm,’ commented DPPO director Esben Sverdrup-Jensen.
‘He combines deep practical experience from the sea with a clear eye for the challenges and opportunities of the future – not least when it comes to sustainability, technology and education. This is a great benefit for us.’
