The second of a pair of innovative twin-rigger/fly-shooters has been advertised for sale with an international shipbroker, as the customer returned the new vessel to its builder.
The 32 metre LOA by 9.60 metre breadth Turma Nova PD-105 was completed by Maaskant for the Ekofish Group, following the delivery at the beginning of this year of sister vessel Spes Nova UK-205.
The sophisticated new vessel with its hybrid propulsion system has been alongside in Scheveningen for some weeks and is now on its way back to the shipyard after failing to meet the customer’s expectations following extensive sea trials.
The PD-105’s crew are instead going to sea on the 53 metre beamer/twin-rigger UK-148, which Ekofish is acquiring from Urk fishing company Quotter
Turma Nova PD-105 has been advertised for sale with Danish shipbroker Atlantic Shipping.
