The Nerpa shipyard, a branch of JSC ZS Zvezdochka, part of Russian shipbuilding conglomerate United Shipbuilding Corporation, is gearing up to expand its activities in the fishing sector.
The yard took part in the Sea – Resources – Technologies 2018 exhibition in Murmansk this week, where it presented its range of services. These include producing steel trawl bobbins, trawl doors and other deck hardware, as well as its designs for coastal fishing vessels up to 15 metres and 20gt.
Over the last two years the yard has been increasingly active with fishing companies in Murmansk, providing both equipment and construction and repair services for both the deep-sea and coastal fishing fleets.
This year the exhibition was visited by representatives of companies from the Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod regions of Russia, as well as companies from Belarus, Belgium, Iceland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Finland.
