Faroese trawl door manufacturer Rock is now represented on the Icelandic market by Ísfell.
Ísfell has recently taken over as Rock’s Icelandic representative, and the two companies have a long co-operation already behind them.
‘Ísfell has kept available an inventory of spare parts from Rock , such as bracket linings, wear plates and shoes,’ an Ísfell spokesman said.
‘Rock doors have proved their worth and many trawlers both here and overseas have used them with great success. By building on this co-operation, we have a wider variety of trawl doors available than before, and look forward to working with Rock in the future.’
Ísfell already represents a number of overseas companies on the Icelandic market, including Russian trawl gear manufacturer Fishering Service, French trawl door manufacturer Morgère and longline specialist Mustad, as well running its own netlofts in Iceland.
While Ísfell is now Rock’s dealer for the Icelandic market, Rock is also able to supply Ísfell’s trawl gear to the Faroese market.
