With just six months before the Irish Skipper Expo 2024 opens its doors, the organisers have released the new floor plan for the event and report that the exhibitor list is growing rapidly.
The two-day expo takes place at the UL Sports Arena in Limerick on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th February next year.
‘The show promises to be a celebration of the continued optimism for the future of the industry, offering fishermen the opportunity to meet manufacturers and service providers in a face-to-face setting,’ said Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager for event organiser Mara Media.
‘The spacious exhibition hall at UL allows for a fantastic variety of stand and outside boat displays, making the show the perfect one-stop-shop for consumers, as well as a great day out for the entire family to enjoy.’
First time exhibitor Noreen Veldman of Errigal Training Centre confirmed that the 2023 expo had been fully worthwhile.
‘This was one of the best organised and efficiently run exhibitions we have attended, from start to finish. From an exhibitor’s point of view, the show organisers were on hand to assist at all times, fantastic venue choice at UL Sports complex – accessible and spacious,’ she said.
While the Irish Skipper Expo is known as a great place to do business, it is also widely known as a social event where colleagues and business associates can meet up and enjoy the weekend together.
‘We’ like to enhance the social element of the event this year and as such, The George Hotel in the city centre will become the base and also the venue for the Show Reception on Friday 23rd February. This will give visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to explore Limerick when the show ends each day,’ Sharon Boyle said.
‘We follow the motto of ‘Your Industry, Your Show’ and will continue to liaise with exhibitors and visitors throughout the year to ensure that the 2024 show meets their every need.’
She commented that with the energy returning to the event this year after a tumultuous few years, and a notable a 27% increase on the overall number of visitors from the previous show in 2022, the Irish Skipper Expo continues to be the flagship event that brings the resilient Irish fishing community together each year.
