companies and representative organisations that import and export seafood. The total budget for 2008/9 will be £75,000 and will be available on a competitive bidding process.
Regional seafood groups, national trade bodies, individual companies and consortia or loose cooperatives made up from groups of companies will be eligible to bid for financial assistance from the fund.
Individual companies will be able to bid for a maximum of £3,000 per project while the regional seafood groups and national trade bodies will be eligible to bid for up to £30,000.
In all cases the bidding company/organisation will be expected to provide match funding.
